Records Division provides a variety of services to department staff, governmental agencies, and to the public. The integrity of the department’s records management system is paramount. Staff members provide checks and balances to ensure all crime reports and associated documents are stored and accessed properly.
Copies of police reports and traffic accident reports are released in accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Law R.S. 44:3. You must provide valid Government issued picture ID ie; Louisiana Drivers License, Louisiana State ID Card, etc.
The Alexandria Police Department Records Division is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on weekends and holidays.
There is a fee for copies of these reports. The current fee schedule as of July1, 2015 is:
Accidents Reports - $10.00
Incident Reports - $10.00
Background Checks - $10.00
Fingerprints - $10.00 per card
Certified Copies - $20.00 per card
